Love the Enemy; |
Heyy, its Krys. This is one side of me. Try to find the other. <3 |
This New Year I’ve come to realize that I have a lot of pet peeves. Actually, I have a lot of things that I greatly dislike. I’ve never thought that I could dislike things so much, but I just thought that I’d write them down. It IS my journal and collection of thoughts anyways.
-It’s rude when you do something for others and you don’t even get a thank you in return. Sometimes you don’t even get a nod back. Sure, if you’re doing something just to be good, then yes, there’s no need for a thank you, but when you are asked to do a favor for a person, it’s only common courtesy that that person acknowledge you and say thank you.
-I find it annoying when people don’t text back in a timely manner ALL the time. I can understand if you’re working, or busy in general, but if a person takes 2 days to reply to a text, it’s ridiculous. Oh, and don’t accuse me of “not hitting you up” or “being MIA”.
-I find it unnecessary for people to fill other people in on other people’s secrets. Obviously that person came to you and confided in you. What do you have to gain by telling others a person’s secrets? You have more to lose than gain.
-It’s irritating when people don’t understand how good they have things. When people decide that “they’re not worth it” or “they should no longer be here”, is when they become weak in my eyes. Although it may be hard, it’s better to have hit rock bottom. When you’ve hit rock bottom, it means you can either stay in that mess or you can go up. Don’t fix temporary problems with permanent solutions.
-This one isn’t a big deal because I end up doing it as well, BUT I have to say that it annoys me when people use words in the wrong context or continuously misspell words that they use all the time. For example…their and they’re OR its and it’s. OR February. Sure, once in a while is fine. I’m sure that I’ve done it a few times while writing this! However, this isn’t too hard to pick up so don’t be stupid. LEARN.
-Money over everything. I’ve seen this mindset in many of my friends and family friends and I have to say that the love people have for money is ridiculous. Money can’t buy you TRUE happiness. When you have plans with someone, don’t pick up a shift. When you’re too tired to function, don’t ask for extra hours. Seriously, money should never rule a person’s life. Yes, you need it for a lot of things, but it should never be put above being with people you love/people that love you, unless it’s a life or death situation.
-I hate it when people quit things for reasons that can be fixed. For example, People that drop out of college 5 different times because “College Algebra is too hard”. Well if it’s too hard then get yourself a tutor and study more. Better yet, take the class again or take it with a different teacher, or at a different school. Don’t put your college life on hold just because of ONE class. Have more drive! I know it can be tough, but if other people can do it, why can’t you? You’re NOT DUMB, you just need help. I’ll help you if you’re not too lazy or too proud to ask for it!
-Killjoys. There is no reason a person should put other people down or ruin the situation because of their own selfish self. If you’re not having a good time, but everyone else is, it would be wise to just play it off. Don’t be the grumpy friend on the side asking others if they want to go home already, or the person that continuously nags and complains to others that you’re not having fun. If you don’t like it then leave. Don’t put your negativity in other people’s auras.
There’s so much more that I want to write down, but for now I’ll just leave it as is. :) Goodnight.
